mine was already attaced to the hat. one loop, but I just gathered and put a slip not in the middle so it and the extra would stay hid inside the hat, then used [you'll need the large size, atleast I did] safety pin and pinned from inside the wig, it's a little difficult cause you can't see it you have to feel for the string but try and get it as tight as possible and pin each side, mine never came off till I took it off. I'd go look at it but I can't get to it right now.
