My magic varies depending on the audience. For older audiences, I tend to use coins/expanded shell stuff more than I do for kids. I don't do a "lot" of card magic, but intend on adding some routines to my magic over the upcoming winter when things slow down for me.
I do more sponge magic than anything currently. The sponges are colorful, so they attract attention. Most of the magic is simple, requiring only a sleight or thumb tip at most.
Most other performers I've met don't like sponge magic, they tend to feel it's childish or "kid's magic" only. That's a silly thought, sponge routines can be mind bending if done well, plus many of the tricks can be done in the hands of the spectators - that's strong magic.
