Default What a night (or two)

We were joking a few days ago about Ishmael would probably decide to come at 2:30 a.m. on the worst night of the year....

Wednesday night/Thursday morning at about 2:30 a.m. - Hard labor started. By noon we had a baby.

Chaos for a bit...

We had an appointment at her doctor wednesday at 1pm - she was only at 1cm - and we scheduled a date to induce next wednesday

Only bad thing that happened was a nurse who didn't seem to understand the epidural and cut power to it because it was beeping which it evidently was suppose to do - so she felt the birth naturally for the most part. The doctor did catch the epidural and re-established near the end - alot of unneccessary pain though. I know mistakes happen, but I'm having a difficult time letting it go - there should be no excuse for something like that happening.

Anyway; here is the end product. Looks alot like his mother.

22" & 8lbs 11oz

He had an amazing doctor for the delivery and the follow-up examination. The med students that assisted were great also; and most of the nurding staff. The only complaint was the issue with the nurse messing with the epidural.
