The clown communion I've seen was very moving and touching, and yes approp. more along the lines of what red skelton would do, with one main characture a hobo.

But one thing that does frustrate me is that you find a lot of clown script books [one I purchased last year] that most of them are not clown skits, there written for clowns but the story line is more of a drama, some very good dramas, great for teams to do, but not clowny. I do think that's were some ministry clown make a mistake.
