On the down side, be warned that some residents may not take kindly to you... there was a lady at the home we visit regularly that told one of our clowns once that if she had a baseball bat she'd beat him upside the head! He just smiled & said something to the effect of "well I still love you & Jesus does too." or something. Now, she's one of the first he has to go see. And heaven forbid he doesn't make it to one of our visits! She'll put him through the ringer the next time he comes for NOT coming to see her! But 99.9 % of the time you will get a great reaction. And what a feeling when you see that smile begin to creep across their wrinkled little faces. I'm always blessed by our nursing home visits!
