Many if not most twisters use Sharpies for the majority of their balloon marking. There is a handful that prefer to use "Dry Erase 2", and they need to be the "2" and not just Dry Erase, why? I'm not sure as I have always used Sharpies. Another option is "Balloon Markers" by Qualatex. Some of the party stores like Factory Card Outlet and Party City usually carry them or a store brand version that is almost the same thing. The nice thing about the "Balloon Markers" is that beside the black markers they have a pack of six markers that are silver with a tint of color to them, one is blue, one purple, one pink, green, gold and plain silver. The Eddington pens are great but are a different beast. They are a paint pen. Msny serious twisters buy the white ones because they are the best option for marking on a balloon when you really want it to be white. A lot of times the silver works, and I have even gone to Hobby Lobby and Michaels and looked at their paint pens designed for scrapbookking. If the scrapbook pen does not contain Xylene, or alcohol then it might work for a while. If I don't use the scrapbook pen regularly (weekly or so) they tend to dry out.
