Oh, what an awful experience. It could happen at any time ... it's probably not the first time she fell. At least she was excited ... not trying to run away from you. Can you stop in sometime when you're not in clown just to visit with her and don't let her know you were the clown? It would give you some peace of mind, I think, to know that she is now doing ok. I'm really sorry you had that experience.
