[Pinky Shortcakes]

Can anyone briefly tell me what a visit to a nursing home consists of? I am new, and alone in this so far. I am going to ask around my church to see if they have a group of folks who visit the nursing homes, and ask if I can go along as Pinky. But what do I do? Just visit with them, smile & hold their hands, do magic, balloons, what? Any suggestions, appreciated! What kind of magic, (simple stuff I hope!) Is there hope for a solo clown doing this?

PS I bought a video on balloons online but it hasn't come yet, so I don't know how to do balloons right now, but hopefully soon.
