1st Place at MASCA Clown-A-Rama
I competed for the first time last weekend. Yep, it was at the Mid-Atlantic Shrine Clown Association convention, also known as Clown-A-Rama. It was at Atlantic City. Anyway, Having been a Kena Klown for four years now, I figured it was time to compete. I entered the novice catagory and took 1st Place! I couldn't belive it. Another Klown from my unit took 2nd Place! So we are now refering to ourselves as the "Award-Winning Kena Klowns."
I learned a whole lot from the judges feedback and have already made some adjustments to my wardrobe. Overall, they liked my make-up and wardrobe, but told me it needed to be more ragged for a more Trampish look.
I also had a load of fun just hanging out with the other Klowns.
On Saturday (12 April) we'll be marching in the National Cherry Blossom Parade again. The forecast calls for rain too.
