Default I almost missed my calling in life

Hi all,

I came across this forum when doing a search for clown shoes. A big thankyou to those who recommended Clownmart, his shoes look great however at first I didnt realise he was an Ebay seller and tried to find him with Google, without luck. But I stumbled across him a day or two later. I am in Oz and there just isnt the market here for clown stuff like there is overseas. Due to time constraints I had to buy a ready made pair elsewhere but I'm sure I'll be buying from him soon.

Anyway, I needed clown shoes as I am doing a backyard carnival for my kids' birthday party this Sunday and I am the clown.

I have been busy making clown costumes as again, there wasnt much local to buy. Well I am now on my 5th costume as I just cant get enough of all things clowny! My kids will be in costume and some of the helpers on the day will have a full clown outfit to wear as well.

I've been on Ebay buying stripey tights and clown noses and white makeup and yes it is sending me broke but it's all so enjoyable.

I wore my clown shoes into work last week (I work in a hospital) and boy did they bring some laughs. Everybody smiled when they saw them and it was a real smile of pure joy, their whole face lit up. You just cant look at clown shoes without smiling.

I should have posted on here earlier to get some ideas from all you experienced clowns but to be honest I have been so caught up in preparations for this party that I hadnt given much thought to what I would actually be doing myself apart from looking like a clown! A bit of an oversight. I do have some cans of crazy string to pull out and spray on the kids and a funny looking water pistol and I can do some balloon modelling, well, I can make a dog.

but I guess this is an introduction enough, I best get back to reading the forums etc,

cheers,
jo
