Some friends of mine were taking a guided tour down the river last week. At one point in the river they had to wait in the locke for the water level to adjust. While they were waiting the tour guide showed them some moss on the side of the locke, he said it only grew in this one spot in the whole state.
While they looked at the moss, some birds came and took some of the moss and carried it away to their nests.
This was the first offical sighting of the Locke Moss Nesters.
