Circus World is changing, but growing. They had some problems in recent years. Now they have a legitimate director who understands how to run a major museum. It's going to take some time, but I think that things are, ultimately, on the upswing.
The Circus Parade is expensive to operate. This is why it had to be discontinued. It's probable return (even if not on an annual basis) is a great step forward for the institution. (There is already a tacit agreement for the Kelly Miller circus to play Milwaukee during the convention.)
There have been some changes at the museum which not everyone is happy with. But they are economic realities. Bottom line, their finances and fundraising are growing which will allow them to come up to par with what can be done long term.
I understand that Neal Skoy (former Moosecamper and just off Ringling) is to be the featured clown at Baraboo's Circus World this summer.
