I don’t get it….. If you don’t know anything about clowns, then what is your motivation for writing a novel that puts clowns in a bad light? If you want to write a good novel, then write about something that actually has meaning to you. You need to be inspired and intrigued about your subject and have an underlying passion for the root of the story.

It sounds to me like you have assumed people want to read about murderous clowns without actually researching your target audience.

My advice, go back to the drawing board, think about something you actually know and love and let your mind fill up with inspired ideas that people will actually want to read about.

To be a successful clown you need to do it for all the right reasons, and to be a successful novelist you also need to be doing it for the right reasons – Think about why you want to write this novel.
