Okay, the good side is Wolfe Bros makes both Halloween makeup and crayons and Ben Nye makes crayons.
The bad side, is I doubt that's what you have to work with. Personally I would just say no to this, and tell them they need the proper tools - you wouldn't send a construction worker to build a house without tools.

The SNAZAROO USA home page - for face painters has some great ideas and there are others too (NOT an endorsement of Snazaroo's makeup... in fact I prefer Paradise by Mehron and Kryolan Aquacolors myself... but Snazaroo isn't bad, just not my taste)
Practice and have fun with it. Butterflies are always fun but I can't imagine face painting with crayons and halloween makeup! Lots of hearts on their cheeks?
