I wish we didn't live in a world where censorship was even needed. In my opinion, the line that separates acceptable and unacceptable keeps moving. I have avoided seeing movies that I felt didn't fit my values. I feel that going to see those movies validates them and gives Hollywood permission to make more movies, or go further over the line in their next attempt. But I would much rather censor content by not giving them my money than having laws enforce some standards. However, I fully support preventing someone from making movies where someone is intentionally being hurt in the process.

With that said, I am often shocked at things that people say is offensive or should be censored. Maybe I have a double standard, I don't know.

I wish everyone could just get along. Sometimes, when the news reports stories and mentions that it was the first african american to accomplish someting (become the governor, coach a team, etc.) By making note of this "first" are they really saying that there is still a difference between blacks and whites?

I don't have the answer. But, I don't believe the government legislated censorship is the answer either.
