I bought a good pair of Dura-stilts at a pawn shop. I checked a few pawn shops and they all had a couple of pairs for around $100. I did have to replace the knee straps, and I went ahead and replaced the foot straps as wellmto be safe. The best advice I can give is to find someone who knows about stilts (a painter or drywaller) and have them look over any that you are thinking about getting.
