Wowza,
I don't have a howle but, after seeing them at the spring fling I found out that they are very similar to my old Don Post. I have had similar problems Especially with condensation.
I put a cotton makeup square in the end of my nose and when it in the makeup box I keep an old vinyl clip on nose shoved in the end. It helps the nose keep its shape and helps to pack that cotton square in as tight as possible. I have no problem with the condensation and like you, I like the "clowny" look of the thing. In fact, I haven't found a Proknows or a Howle that I like the look of yet.
As far as holding in on, I recommend the tape that Leon sells. I clean my own nose with an alcohol wipe, to remove makeup and powder, apply the tape to the nose on the bridge area and most recently, a dot on the underside between the nostrils. When It's on; It stays there! In fact, it can often be down right painful to remove!
I do carry extra tapes and wipes in my little card wallet. But I rarely use them.
Hope this helps,
Cheers,
Scruffy
