Scruffy, the panjo I played was only difficult insomuch as it requred a great deal of finger strength on the fret to get the right note. That may be attributable to Pee Wee's choice of strings, or my lack of ability as a player. He did say that fingers would callus, or you could use a thimble to make it easier.

Wowza, The one I saw had everything to do with the action being too high, and the nut being in the wrong place.
