Red face Checkin' In

I've been face painting for a year. I used cheap stuff that really frustrated me, but a clown at Woodfield Mall (Schaumburg, IL) told me about Snazaroo. I am hooked! Anyway, I'm just starting the "official" business of painting for pay. I'm doing the first birthday party this weekend.

...Yes, the Cubs pained me something awful this past weekend. We won't even discuss Soriano (other than I saw he was still stiff when I took my daughter to her first game on May 1st, and we were only ten rows back from the field). I must say that the Dodgers sweep makes me feel better. :-)...

I'm working on a character that I think I'll call "String Bean." I'm tall and thin, and my friend's dad always calls me String Bean (to which I've always called him Watermelon, which seems awful nowadays). String Bean will have high-water, baggy overalls--probably denim--and a loud jacket that sort of hangs on me. I haven't started looking yet, so we'll see. I picture a straight-haired pink wig (I could find the "Stephanie" wig from "Lazy Town"...). Face makeup would be the red mouth, red painted nose (I'm not 100% comfy with the idea of a clown nose--yet), light-brown freckles, and something that will work around my glasses. I have those black rectangle frames that are so popular now. Oh, and some colored (mismatched) socks and my Converse All Star high-tops that are black w/hot pink tongue. Throw in Dr. Scholls, and we're good to go!

(I'm going to cut/paste last paragraph to costume section...)

Thanks for the hellos! I'm excited about all this, and my husband is getting a kick out of it.
