Sorry I can't help you Jolly, but it seems to me that if the brim is solid enough that you could add weight evenly and make it work. One thing that came to mind was adding small flad lead weights evenly around the hat under the hat band, or even removing the trim ribbon around the brim and adding the weights there and then replacing the trim.
