All of the above mentioned places are great to find these hot pad / crochet loops. They come bundled in a plastic bag with all sorts of colors. I've had the best luck finding them at Michael's or M.J Designs, not sure what name they're going by these days. Hobby Lobby and Wal-Mart are also good. I just took several example pics, once I get them edited for size I'll post them on here.
