I take a piece of foam the size I want the Bible to be and cut it almost in half so it will open like a book. I use a large piece of black poster board to make a cover and print Holy Bible on it. Add a large bookmark and you are all set. If you want to you can hollow out the insides of the "Bible" to store props.

I've got one that I made before I was a clown, ironically. I used 4 pieces of 3" wide oak strips (it had been intended for hardwood flooring) to make a box, and then covered it front and back with 1/8" luan plywood (with a small piece of ribbon sticking out). What I want to get is one of those ones that bursts into flame when you open it. Talk about fire and brimstone preaching!
