a Donation is in order for public-radio stations... but if you actually LISTEN to a station, get to know the DJs and call-in as your clown... THEN donate for a pledge premium.
on a community station... sometimes a college station... you can get your big feet even further in the door with their events calendar/ community billboard or host a comedy show of your own... the same would be true for a public-access television station.
HOWEVER,
if you're a producer you then walk the tight rope of not selling your services outright or PLUGOLA/PLAYOLA.
