I'm in big festival goer, both as patron and performer and just wondering what festivals, conventions, and camps clown-forum members attend regularly. Feel free to provide info on local "home town" festivals - these can sometimes be as good or better than the larger festivities...
Chautauqua Festival in Wythe Virginia is a great little festival. It runs 9 days annually and has some quality entertainment and a great atmosphere. The downside is that it's in a tiny town in southwest Virginia that really isn't close to anything....
Floyd Fest is a four day festival with seven stages that are almost always occupied in addition to strolling entertainment and busking. Downside is similar to the one above in that it is fairly isolated. Great scenery though.
Burning Man isn't for everyone. It is ultra-liberal in virtually everything and is not for the faint of heart. The festival is becoming more about partying than self-expression these days. In the past before it became bastardized - it could be a life changing event. Probably the only place in the world where an entire city is built (with working airport, radio station, post office, bars, and virtually anything else you'd find in a regular city) only for the festival and completely disassembled once the festivities come to an end. Black Rock City is indeed a unique experience.
Tranformus is a "mini-Burning Man" with a similar atmosphere. Same rules apply but it is a
little more tame the Burning Man. If you've ever wanted to be engulfed by the flames from a flamethrower - Transformus is the place to be.
Glastonbury Festival is on my "to-do" list eventually. I've not made it across the pond to attend, but hope to in the near future.
Singapore River Buskers Festival is another event I've not made it to yet. I hope to make it to this festival one day... Maybe Princess Twister can teach me a few balloons if or when I make it there!
IJA Convention in Winston-Salem N.C.
Winter Carnival of Magic in Pigeon Forge TN
Hurricane Hugo Juggling Convention in Charlotte NC
SantaCON - I'll be in Asheville this year. Check for an area near you!

So... that's my list. Anyone else?
