Allowing yourself to play is one of the best parts about being a clown. We stop stifeling our desire to have fun. But I would caution clowns seeking their inner child to remember we are still responsible adults. It takes work and intelligents to reveal the child like qualities in ourselves while maintaining the maturity to create a wonderful experiance for our audiance.
I'm not trying to rain on anyones parade but I hate to see our proffession over simplified.
At times people say "all you have to do is act like a kid". That might be a start but there is so much more work to be done.
