I'm looking for a way to attach my hat to my wig without using an elastic band. It needs to come on and off easily. Has anyone tried using magnets? Other ideas?

I tied the string inside the hat and safety pin it, in place, but maybe you could attach some type of hair clip to the string, out of sight that would be easy to slip on and off.

Costumes by Betty, will custom make hats, they might be able to help you. 1800-47clown, I don't know if they have a web site, I got my hat through them at a conference, but they have an add in this months Cross and the Clown Mag.

Actually, Costumes by Betty is through Clowning 4 Christ at www.clowning4christ.com. They do good work. I got a wig and hat at a recent conference and I love them.

My hat is a Betty Cash hat. I wore it the first time this weekend and the elastic feels like it is cutting my head off! Plus the hassle of fluffing your wig to hide the cord. I think I'll give magnets a try and let you know if it worked.
