any idea of clown skit for easter I can do @ my church will be great if anyone has a silent one or short one...thank you very much and we have a lot kids at church...

I have twinky the beautiful rabbit in the hat from One Way Street that I use at about all event and I am thinking it would work well for you maybe.
I say Twinky is the Easter Bunnies Baby rabbit and proceed to tell the story of Christ and his great gift to us at Easter. Twinky later gives out little rings, candy etc from his hat. Oh and Twinkly only wispers to me so no voice need for him.

what about clown communion? or a trick using a jesus silk and a change bag!!wrap a Jesus silk in a white silk representing the grave clothes then put in change bag then th other side put an empty Jesus silk and tell about 3 days later how he was no longer in the grave He has risen!!

The only joke that I can suggest is one that I've tried to do for years with not many people saying such a good idea.

The clown is speaking with someone about Easter and what it means. The clown goes through the entire story about Jesus ministry and the crucifixion. Build up the burial and then the angel opening the tomb. And now every year when Jesus comes out of the tomb, if he sees His shadow, it'll be another six more weeks before Easter.

You could use a balloon flower with 6 petals. The stem would be tied like a very simple sword having the petals closer to the top. You talk about love and the pop the petal to the tune of "he loves me, he love me not." When all the petals are popped, the stem the looks like a cross and the last line is: "HE LOVE ME," as you show the cross to all.

What a wonderful and attention getter story Mulligan.

Hey, I know its to late for htis year but thought I would let you know what I tried this year.
I used a bit of music by an English guy called John Hardwick titles for god so loved the world ( can you guess what verse it was based on)
Started with 3 picks
1 - easter egg
2 - airplane
3 - the letter D
So you have easter eggs plane D - easter explained
next a balloon weave one side with God the other Man
they separate leaving a gap
Next unwrapped a parcel which contained a mirrow with the words jesus died for written on it. Gave it to an older child and had them walk the church with it. Of cource when folk peer in they see who Jesus died for.
Lastly an upright balloon weave which has Jesus written on it and the 2 small balloons fit on each side to make a cross.
I finished by waking back down the isle muttering amazing wow realy cool.
I did this on my own and used kids to hold bits when needed.

Was my very first try at doing my own material but as it says somewhere on here, its not about me.
Whatever you did I pray it got Gods message accross.
