What would you respond if you brought out a puppet to do ventriloquism, and kids yell "That's a puppet!"

View Full Version : That's a puppet! Dynamo 04-23-2010, 01:50 AM What would you respond if you brought out a puppet to do ventriloquism, and kids yell "That's a puppet!" SuitcaseSam 04-23-2010, 03:40 AM Have the puppet scream loudly, "AHhhh!!!", then turn to you and say, "Those are children. There's children out there!" Just a thought.... ~Sam 8-) Tickles and Trouble 04-23-2010, 01:22 PM I never argue. I say it is and tell them to watch carefully as I bring him to life. StuartPid 04-23-2010, 06:05 PM I always cover the puppets are and say "SHHHHHHH..... he doesn't know!" Häagen-Dazs 04-23-2010, 11:17 PM That's cute. I like it. Sir Toony Van Dukes 04-24-2010, 08:45 PM What do you want the kids to yell when you bring out a puppet? Did you tell them it was your pet rabbit and they are telling you it isn't a real rabbit? Dynamo 04-25-2010, 02:49 AM After 35 years in the showbusiness, Dynamo, you must know how to handle almost any situation. If you are mentioning that as a joke, I like it. If you are being serious, where did you get the rumor from? Häagen-Dazs 04-25-2010, 08:59 AM That's cute. I like it. Dynamo 04-25-2010, 12:25 PM It seems a bit strange that you are unfamiliar with the information that you have posted on the Forum. On your User page you say that you have decades of performance experience. If thats a rumor, I heard it from you. Now I can see your words are changed around. "Show business", (that is what you mentioned earlier) is far more different than "Magic Experience", (what I put in my User Page). If you first changed my words around because of a mistake you made with a typo, or if you have bad eyesight, I ain't mad at cha. But if you deliberately changed my words around to make it look like you are on the high horse, Dynamo don't play that. Will you please be true and honest with your post for now on? I am asking you gently. :) Are you a ventriloquist? Are you, after all these years of experience, still befuddled by the basic techniques of entertaining children? I would not mind answering your questions if you promise to re-read my words slow and easy so there will be no excuse to change any words around again. Peace, Dynamo Häagen-Dazs 04-25-2010, 04:46 PM That's cute. I like it. Zippy Zoo 04-27-2010, 01:11 PM I would like to know, too! I'm just starting to introduce Buttercup, My rabbit puppet and would like to know what to do. I admit I have no experience with public ventriloquism. Buttercup isn't a speaking puppet. Thank you for this thread, Dynamo. I'd probably go out there and make a fool of myself because I'd not think to ask this question, beforehand! Of course, I'm a fool, anyway....! Dynamo 04-28-2010, 06:41 AM T So there is no further mis-understanding about the nature of your experience, will you please be "true and honest" with us and share what you mean - and what you expect reasonable people to believe - when you use the words "34 years of magic experience"? I promise to take your response "slow and easy"! I started performing magic tricks 34 years ago. It shows how much experience I have with that talent. Did that answer your question? Dynamo 04-28-2010, 07:01 AM I would like to know, too! You are most welcome, Zippy Zoo. I like to ask questions. You will never know if you will never ask. If you think you are not good with ventriloquism you might want to make it look like Buttercup has a soft voice and can not be heard by anyone else. Show Buttercup's movement as if she is whispering in you ear, no sound is made. You speak out to everyone, as if you are repeating what Buttercup whispered to you in an asking manner to make sure you heard what Buttercup said. For example: Buttercup whispers in your ear silently. You: What do mean you like that boy in the corner? Buttercup whispers in your ear again. You: Because he is a hansom young man to you? You: But what if he already has a girlfriend? Butter cup whispers in your ear. You: You already beat her up last night? Häagen-Dazs 04-28-2010, 09:08 AM That's cute. I like it. Dynamo 04-28-2010, 01:29 PM Good Afternoon, Berry (Sorry I'm late) Thank you for reading my response "slow and easy". I really do appreciate it. I like your explanation. Peace, Dynamo Granny Glasses 05-03-2010, 07:27 PM I helped Buttercup beat up the boy's girlfriend! I never get credit for ANYTHING! (pout) Zippy Zoo 05-04-2010, 04:55 PM Granny, you didn't! Don't laugh! She just might! KichigaiKamono 06-23-2010, 06:14 AM I have a super fluffy monster puppet called Frankie (haven't performed with him yet tho) and when I introduced him to my 2 year old cousin he said "It's a puppet" and Frankie said "Puppet? Where?!" The kid cracked up and told his mum he wanted a puppet :D PS: If you want to see Frankie, I've got a picture of him now in one of my albums :) |
