I've been looking for a personal amp. system that you can wear, I've seen the Honey tone that bubba carries. Do any of you use them and what type do you use?
Thanks

We just have to raise our voices! And that's hard for a couple of our soft-voiced clowns. Do these hook up to house speakers? Or do they come with their own speakers. saphireSue 07-21-2004, 05:53 PM the honeytone is about 5inches square 2inches deep and you can hook a regualar lapel mic and wear it on your belt. I also do vent. with my vent partner Sally and need more volume to throw her voice. I've seen some and email Bubba but is amp. doesn't come with a mic you have to get it some were else. Scruffy 07-21-2004, 07:45 PM I am a musician by trade. The honeytone is a great little amp and would work fine for personal appearances like a vent. it is not strong enough for big engagements. LooneyBallooney 07-22-2004, 01:08 AM I recomend the Appollo line of personal microphones. They come in different sizes for the types of venues that you do. Some have built in tapeplayers and recharable batteries. I use mine for all my bigger shows. The sound is very clear. They come with a wireless lapel mic and have great range. I put mine in the back of the room with me in the front. You can find them with an internet search. You can buy them directly from the company and not pay markups. Sonshine D Clown 07-26-2008, 05:29 AM I would watch ebay - I just picked up a Amplivox SW222 Wireless Portable Buddy AMP PA ... looks like a small brief case... I did a "make offer" and they accepted...so you never know... what a deal I got... Pickles 07-26-2008, 09:06 AM At what point does a clown need a microphone? I've never used one -- not even for large events like school assemblies. But I'm probably a little louder and a tad more obnoxious that most clowns. Pickles 07-26-2008, 01:09 PM Luki, that is a really nice service! What a great idea. Sonshine D Clown 07-26-2008, 06:53 PM The only reason I got mine is I do alot of parties that have anywhere from 25-50 kids attending with families - we do a 'game show' type party ... can only get 4-8 teams at a time... parent/child teams .. its a riot - but you need something to help project my voice... *S* |
