View Full Version : 4th Intro Skit
Boy, it's exciting to write our first skit as a father daughter team. I thought I would share what I've got so far, any suggestions or comments are welcome!
(one of us carrying the Independence day sign I'm working on)
BIPS: H A P P Y N D (picture of a pen? not sure yet) (possible picture of a car door with dents here) DAY EVERYONE!
BIPS: My name is BIPS and this is BIPSY!
BIPSY: What?
BIPS: I was just introducing us to everyone...
BIPSY: Oh Okay...
BIPS: This is BIPSY and...
BIPSY: Who?
BIPS: BIPSY, thats you...
BIPSY: Me?
BIPS: Yes, you!
BIPSY: Oh Okay...
BIPS: Now, as I was saying, BIPSY and I wanted to welcome everyone...
(BIPSY starts running about the crowd, looking left and right, calling out
'EVERYONE! OH EVERYONE!')
BIPS: BIPSY!
(She keeps going)
BIPS: BIPSY!
(She continues)
BIPS: CHOCOLATE ICE CREAM!
(she immediately stops, turns and looks at BIPS)
BIPSY: Where?
BIPS: Right over here
(She comes back over, and BIPS whispers something in her ear)
END
This is where I got stuck, so if you guys have any suggestions I would be glad to hear 'em.....
saphireSue 06-28-2006, 09:37 PM instead of just calling out for every one she could also look in strange places ie under some one's hat, shoe, down a grate etc.
"every one you down there?"
Skits sounds cute so far.
Willace-the-Clown 06-29-2006, 12:55 AM sounds cool
Fast Eddie 06-29-2006, 01:03 AM I know I am not a clown yet and have no experience so do not expect this to be helpful but who knows.
INDY = Indy Race car (or a ENTER sign), PEN = Pen, DANCE = Ballerina or dancing couple, I might be too picky but a dented door might remind someone of a car accident.
For one more round of BIPSY searching for Everyone... after whisper in her ear say:
BIPS: "Do you know who likes Chocolate Icecream?"
(This Section can be left out to shorten slightly
BIPSY: ME! (excitedly)
BIPS: Know who else?
BIPSY: (shakes head no in exagerated manner and replies) No.. or Nope or Nuh uh or Who?
BIPS: Everyone!
BIPSY: OOOOHHHH! I'll go find Them (runs off to repeat the search)
Dartel, The dance thing is right on the money! I could cut out a picture of two people dancing and paste it to the mini board I'm planning on putting this on...
I like your suggestion about bringing it back to everyone. I may change the chocolate ice cream to parades perhaps? Something to tie it back to the audience and the fact they are here on the 4th of July.
Either that or I may make it to where we have go catch up with the other clowns...
Thanks everyone for your input...

I like the chocolate ice cream part. If there's something more pertinent that can work for the holiday (fireworks?), then I could see maybe that instead. But, hey, it's summer. And who doesn't like ice cream?
I could see where she does the running around, shaking hands, ignoring you, greeting everyone part; then hears "Chocolate ice cream!" so stops in her tracks to look at you, says "WHERE?"; then goes back off to the audience asking "where, where, where?".
"Do you know who likes CHOCOLATE ICE CREAM!"
She stops in her tracks and looks at you, "ME!" Chasing after you, "Oh me, me (singing) mimimimimi; please, pretty please, oh pretty please with syrup and a cherry on top?"
To audience, "Do you know who ELSE likes CHOCOLATE ICE CREAM?"
"YOU!"
Bipsy runs out to the audience seeking the ice cream from them, "YOU DO? Oh, give me some. Do you have it? WHO HAS THE CHOCOLATE ICE CREAM?"
"I'll think I'll leave her with you." (Bips runs off!)
Bipsy continues to play with the audience, looking for the chocolate ice cream, finally realizes you are gone. "He must have run off with it all!". (thumbs down to audience, get them going "awwww" for her or "booo" at you.) Then runs after you seeking her treat. "Come back here with my ice cream!"
Tim, I really like the followup on this, wish I had a chance to implement it, but it ended up that we got there so late we didn't get a chance to do any of the routine. We did get a great photo of BIPSY though, and I'm trying to find out about getting a copy of the parade filmed with our local cable company, because they did a great closeup of me for several minutes, and then followed her for a while later...
