I have a skit I am wanting to do with Pirates so instead of a partner clown I wanted a puppet. As a newbie I have spent so much on costuming etc I needed to not spend much so I went to ebay. Didnt find a pirate puppet that I liked and was affordable but for $1.00 I won this solidier puppet ($3.00 to ship) then I spent another .99 at the thrift shop for the shirt. $1.00 for a skull and crossbone necklace kit. used the beads on the mustache and the wooden skull and crossbones to cover the butterfly insignia from the baby clothes. a kit from the costume shop with the eyepatch and earring and do rag was a freebee (perk of working there) so total investment was $6.00 and now I have to introduce to you
Long John, Peg-leg, patch-eye hook !
whatcha think??
Puppets make great partners.
Especially when you can't get a woman to talk to you.

You did great! A lot of bang for the buck, so to speak. And it packs small, but will play big!

Arrrgh lass! Blow me down an shiver me timbers Pinkie Bee, me proud beauty! Thars found theeself a grand puppet matey to go a wenchin, a carussin an a fightin with. He reminds me of the talks I had with a barnicle bitten, bilge sucking, scallywag of a landlubber, I once met in a tavern tryin to sell me pirate DVDs.
He said, "You look like you've had a hard life and I'd like to buy you a drink." So I ordered a bottle of rum, my favourite grog.
Then he said "Just out of curiosity, how did you lose your leg?"
"Arrrgh!" I said, "I lost that timber to a tiger shark in the Caribbean when I was thrown overboard for stealing a man's rum."
"That's just terrible", replied the man, "How did you lose your hand?"
"Arrrgh!" I said, "I lost that fighting cannibals off Madagascar under Admiral Hawk. Since that day, I've had to use this hook"
"Oh my!" the man said, "I can't even imagine! How did you lose your eye?"
"Arrrgh! A seagull pooped in it!" said I.
"A seagull!" the man exclaimed. "Is seagull poop dangerous?!"
I replied, "Nay, matey, it was me first day with the hook..."

really good job on making something great out of nearly nothing
as with anything we clowns do. yeah you can buy it from a store but if you can make it yourself your going to save a bundle.
