Hello Clown Friends!
My son, "Sparks" and I are performing our very FIRST comedy show at a New Year's Eve party and I would like to incorporate Confetti somehow. I know there are Canons that use Co2 cylinders, but my budget doesn't call for that this time.... I was thinking of perhaps filling some 3' Balloons with confetti and blowing them up with a leaf blower until they burst!
Have any of you tried something like this before?
Do you think it would work? Obviously, I would try it out first, but thought I would check with you all before I purchased what I would need.
Any other thoughts of using Confetti would be grateful!
I have also been looking into the confetti buckets....does anyone know how to make one yourself?
Thanks again!

This is really challenging.
It's a large process with millions of pieces.
You take a cylindrical apparatus (preferably one with a grasping unit). They sell them is several shapes, colors, materials, and sizes.
...Are you still with me?
Next you take shards and shreds of aluminum and paper and insert them into the aforementioned apparatus. (This can be tricky...especially if you spill the pieces. I recommend wearing safety goggles during this procedure.)
I hope this helps.

Nice!....:pie:
I guess I should have clarified.... I am looking to make a Confetti Bucket...the kind that you can actually pour water into and then when you toss the contents of the bucket, confetti comes out instead of water...... Smarty Pants!:seltzer:

easiest way i can say, take a bucket, and a smaller bucket or cup, about half the size or so, cut a hole in the bottom of the larger one the size of the bottom of the smaller one, and cut the bottom out of the smaller one, glue them together, sit this on a wooden box with a hole in the top of it with a bucket inside of it. then poor the water into the smaller bucket which will then go into the hidden one inside the box, and have confetti in the remaining portion of the big bucket. then when you pick it up, the water will stay in the box, and since you've got the smaller bucket glued around the hole, the confetti won't fall out that hole when carrying the bucket. :)

Thanks Knute! I might just give that a try! Thanks!
I've blown up brown paper bags filled with confetti and popped them.
I wonder if you could blow confetti out of a New Year's clown horn - basically a piece of PVC pipe with a funnel on the end of it.

Confetti is pretty easy to work with. I did a gag with a shop vac filled with confetti and when I plugged it in it would spray confetti all over me. Then I would put in regular (suck) mode and vacuum the bits off me, getting my pants stuck in the hose and then on from there... Good times.

Compressed air is the best way to shoot comfetti over a large area. That is how we did it in the circus.
The other way it to have to balloons overhead. and have a confetti drop. They can be popped with a platic pellet gun or a remote control popper
