what about, La la, Tinki, [Teletubbies], and the Wiggles and what are those big blobs that dance. It always amazed me how such simple little character can capture the mind of a toddler for hours.

...*Blink Blink*

Wow, it's official. I'm the only teen who watches that. XDD Yay for watching shows meant for preschoolers!

....I never really considered them "clowns". I just thought they'd be, you know, like supposed to be something other than human, just for kids' sake. I actually find them quite ammusing (I know, I'm too old for them...I jsut can't grow up!)

Plus, now that I'm older, I sought out what they looked like without their makeup.

And Rooney's (the blue one) still my favorite...*sigh and bats eyelashes in a love-struck way* :D

Okay, they're cute and all, and she's got a GREAT voice, but let me tell you, being a piano teacher myself, there is NO WAY she can play the piano with THOSE fingers!! And Rooney could never play the guitar with them either. A little far fetched for me, but I'm thinking if my kids saw them they'd be hypnotized for hours. good thing they don't know they exist.

I really should not be reading the archieves while watching news about the political races.

All this made me think of was how "big blobs" with "simple little character can capture the mind of " the typical American.

Interesting...Never heard of them before, but you have an interesting thought there. And don't feel too bad Ritz-I still watch Barney...and Thomas the Tank Engine...and Noddy...lol.

Catriona, my grand daughter, has all the wiggles CDs, and as much as I thought I wouldn't be able to stand them, some of their dance moves are pretty good for learning coordination. Most of the stuff we march around the living room to, while tripping and rolling over each other.:)

I love the Doodlebops. I also love The Big Comfy Couch. If you haven't seen it, check it out. It's clowns that live in Clowntown. They have some videos on youtube also. Here's the website for it www.bigcomfycouch.us. It's one of my favorites.

As long as we're talking about children's television, my little boy loves Thomas the Tank Engine, Super Why (new on PBS) and Wilbur (a little cow who reads books to find answers to barnyard problems on TLC and Discovery Kids).
