I'm trying to work up some material for a pizza joint I frequent for promotions.
The theme I'm working around is........
YOU GUESSED IT....PIzza!
Any suggestions that anyone has would be great. I'm working on jokes, props, etc...
Thanks in advance!

You could learn some BIG Coin slight of hand moves. But instead of big coins use coasters that look like pizzas. Have the place print them up the correct size with their info on the back.

Good Idea!
I'll talk to the GM when I go in this coming Saturday.
Thanks for the Info!
Well, I worked Saturday, and I think it went pretty well, especially for my first paying job in tips. I understand now why balloons are so popular!
I got there during the lull to set everything up, and greeted the kids there who were currently having parties. One group had a child that was afraid of clowns, and it was seventh birthday party. I told Mom, " I'll be around, if she wants to come and see me, I'll be happy to make her a balloon. "
She never came to see me, and I thought it was because she was still afraid. her mother came up to me from behind, and in an irritating voice asked why I had not come back to their table. She was present when I made my original statement to the child, and i repeated it. She said, " Can you at least come by the table one more time before you leave? "
I'm beginning to wonder about the parents that don't seem too worried about their children's fears. I know it's important to address these phobias sometimes, but at the same time I don't think you should force a frightened child to confront them in that way. When I returned to the table I was standoffish to the child, and left her gift in plain view so she could retrieve it after I left.
Anyway, it went over well. Most of the kids were thrilled I was there, and I made some money, and brought a pizza home to my wife and girls....

Well done Bips. I to do clowning in another Pizza resteraunt. I think you handled that as well as it can be handled. I also agree with you about parents forcing kids to face fears.
Having battled with phobias in my own life, I know only too well that whatever age a person is, fear can only be overcome if the person chooses to face it in order to overcome it. No amount of coaxing or forcing will help such situations. In fact, such tactics can only ever bring about a re-inforcement of the fear concerned.
The prezzie was a nice touch too. :D
Yes folks, pizza and phobias do not mix....
Why, I remember remember a time in my childhood when...what... huh?
Oh yeah. My little birdy just told me I was going off on a tangent...sorry...:)

I don't understand why the mom was upset you didn't make a second appearance. Our group is a church ministry. But one of the guys loves to dress up in his outfit and go out in public. He said a lady approached him and asked if he would do her child's birthday party. He told her no, he didn't
do parties, that he was part of a church ministry. She got mad at him  and asked what clown association or union he belonged to, that she was going to call and complain about him. He gave her our ministries business card which has the church name and number and told her, "here, call this number." I don't think she ever called. But can you imagine!!!

That just go to show how much we're becoming a give it to me , NOW society. I ususally have one or two that get mad when I don't give small babies balloons, but the risk to choking to great.
