Well, I got my new costume completed. I am very happy with it. It's very Holly Hobbie inspired. Purple plaid with big purple hearts and lace. I have a wonderful purple nose tip, and big flowered shoes. I will send a picture when I get time. Oh this workin thing takes soooo much time!
I have been leaning towards the name Doodle. My husband picked it for me because of my artistic flair. I know that there are others with that name, so I would like to make it a little more unique.
Here's what I have come up with:
Molly McDoodle (going with my irish/scottish heritage)
Honeydoodle
Doodletrix
What do you guys like?
One vote for Molly McDoodle.

Molly McDoodle has got my vote too. Sounds GREAT!!! and unique too, a name they will definitely remember you by.
I love unique names for performers. My 2 characters I perform as are SOUTHWEST SAM (Wacky Cowboy Entertainer) and FADDY McPuGG (Comedy Magician/Ukulele Player).

Molly's not just in the lead, she's the only one running! I will have to practice my irish accent if I am to be Molly. Anyone else use an accent when they are in character?
I love unique names as well. My real name "Arlana" is very unique, and I often think that I don't know how I would handle meeting another person with my name. Pretty selfish huh?
Anyone else use an accent when they are in character?
I use a British accent with one of my characters (the one pictured in my icon).

I think it may come from when I was in high school. I was in the school play and there was this girl from Northern Ireland who had what amounted to a sort of British accent. We all imitated it. And it stuck. When I first had on a version of this makeup, it just drew me snobbily British. And, so, that is kind of how I started playing it. Then the makeup changed a little and it got more augustey. So now I can go either way, and often combine the two.. started out aloof and uppidy then getting goofy.
I experimented with the silent Klown at first, and then threw in French when I wanted to talk. Not a French accent, but actual French. I speak a little bit and it seemed to work. Since most of the gigs are Shrine related,(Parades and events at the Shrine) I don't have to talk much anyway. If I did birthday parties and such, I'd consider an accent. They are fun and can be really silly.
