Hi All,
As you can tell Im pretty new to all this.

I was just wondering if many of you use music in your acts?
What music do you use?
Where can I get music for my act AND avoid any copyright problems?

When we first started we'd enter own performance for criticing, and music was the one thing they all said we needed. It great to tie things together to keep people entertain. Little one's tend to want to get up and move around and don't sit long, so having fun music and then have them do the silly moves with you, gets them up, tires them a little and then they ready to sit for more of the show. and they all feel like they each have a part in the show. There are a lot of CDs out, there's RPM [rightous pop music], Tony Chestnut CD., It gets every one laughing.

I found a site that had calliope and other circus type music. Haven't used it yet, but it's fun. I am thinking maybe while I do balloon twisting, it will play in the background.

I have my own theme song....

It's the Roger Miller song " King of the Road". But this in an instrumental version played on pedal Steel guitar by Curley Chalker. I like to use non circus type music. Nothing against calloipe music, but I find it annoying after awhile. I like using steel guitar music. and all the sliding on strings sounds help keepin interesting.
