View Full Version : Hello Again!
stitches 11-07-2006, 12:03 PM Hi! Stitches again!
I know I introduced myself some time ago, but I finally got a picture uploaded so you can see what I look like!
This is my new wig! I was in Chicago (for work) and took a taxi, a train, a bus, and walked a block to get to a huge costume shop. They only let me try on two wigs (probably because the store was crazy for Halloween) but I found the one I like!
What an adventure!
Willace-the-Clown 11-07-2006, 02:56 PM Your looking Very nice

The_Princess_of_Bozonia 11-07-2006, 03:42 PM Very colorful, you look great stitches!
Well, I like the wig too! Where'd you go, Fantasy Headquarters?
saphireSue 11-07-2006, 06:40 PM cool look and I like your wig too.
ibimus 11-07-2006, 07:17 PM Hi Stitches!
I love that you wear glasses with your costume; looks fantastic!
Can I ask, are they prescription, or just empty frames?
stitches 11-07-2006, 09:06 PM Yup, I went to Fantasy Headquarters - costume shop the size of a City block!
My glasses are prescription. This particular pair is semi frameless and are non-glare so it is a big difference from my regular glasses.
I have to ask y'all about my makeup. I had a "lite Auguste" (reduced makeup) face designed for me that I use without the wig. With the wig, I just added a muzzle but I'm not sure if I need more makeup. I also changed my nose. With reduced makeup, I use a large flesh colored nose tip with a little blush on the end. This nose is the same style but solid red. In your opinion, do I need to add red makeup to the part of my nose not covered by the tip? like on the side of my nostrils?
Your opinions are greatly appreciated!
saphireSue 11-07-2006, 09:34 PM From what I can see, you look great.
Nice muzzle too. good size
I think the flesh looks good, I use a nose tip when in white face and I don't add any red to the rest of my nose. One thing some one showed me once was to take some of the blush color you use ,if you use powder that is, and put it over top of the tip of the flesh red and it will make it stand out more and look more like the color on your cheeks.
as I said I think you look great
i Agree w/ Sue - I think you look great. I am still searching for my perfect face and hair. I'm not super fond of the big rainbow curly hair wig that I have and I'd like to use my top hat, but I need to do something with my hair.... decisions, decisions. I think I'm going to have to make a trip to the windy city for some ideas! :D
I like your makeup and think that the simple addition of a muzzle looks just fine. The reddish blush on each cheek frames your nose nicely. I don't think you need to add any red to extend the nose, but there are noses which cover more fully than the nose tips which you may want to try on sometime just to see if you like them any better or not.
You look beautiful as always Dont change a thing
Scruffy 11-08-2006, 08:27 PM Stitches, You look great!!!

I can't stand covering my nostrils! I did go from the smallest nose tip (proknows T-1) to this one (proknows LT-1).
brittany the clown 11-09-2006, 09:52 AM whoo you look so perdy! yOU LOOK like my teacher!!! Except she has a foam red nose and a pink wig but the exact same!!!

You could probably cut out the underside of a nose if you don't want to cover the nostrils. I'd doubt many (if any) would even notice. But if you're happy with what you've got, then stick with it! It looks fine.
