Where can I get a good deal on juggling equipment such as balls, scarves, rings, clubs, plates and diabolos? What are your favorite brands? Right now, I'll stick to plates, balls, and diabolos but just wanted to get an idea of what equipment is out there and where to get it and how to save money.

look at the clown resource thread but remember sometimes you get what you pay foro so a deal isn't always a deal with equipment

I really like bright orange road hockey balls. They are inexpensive and very visible. For $1.50 they are a good deal. Different people like different weights, so it'll be up to you. I have found really nice balls at garage sales. Lacross balls are heavier but have a great bounce.

Clubs are difficult to make. I have tried a couple of brands but prefer Dubes. Henry's are also quite nice. The brand of clubs makes a difference. Many brands have a different feel, weighting and padding. I also have Higgins clubs but they are not as nice as Dubes. Dubes are expensive but worthwhile. I would go with Dubes from the start.

I have a couple of diabolos from Higgins. One came with an axis so scuffed up that it seemed to have skipped the final sanding step. I exchanged it and they sent me the wrong colour. I was not happy. The place to go is http://www.diabolo.ca and their forums. They are diabolo crazy. They have an equipment guide. Here is one: http://diabolo.ca/forum/index.php?topic=3166.0

I also have a devil stick from Dube. It is quite nice, but I am not very good because of lack of practice and other distractions (balloons!).

Check out this place too... http://www.enasco.com
They sell juggling scarves, beanballs, flower sticks (they call them "Mystix" & "Trick Stix"), spinning plates, diabolos, and peacock feathers.
