Welcome to the forum. I'm a newbie myself--just 8 months now, but having a blast. Hope you find info and help here. I know there are a LOT of face/body painting schools in the UK--but there's my geography lesson for you---is the UK and Scotland ANYWHERE near each other??? LOL

Well, for facepainting, I would Check with Snazaroo. www.snazaroo.com They are UK based so it should be fairly easy to find. For balloon sculpture, I would look for a distributor for troll books. www.mondotroll.it. They have a good selection of books that due to being published abroad, might be easier to locate.
The Books that I reccommend are:
Creative Clowning by Bruce Fife and Tony Blanco. Picadilly press.
Strutters guite to clown makeup, Jim Roberts, Picadilly press.
Clown for Circus and Stage by Mark Stolzenberg
Be a Clown By Turk Pipkin
How to be a compleat clown by Toby Sanders.
These are great books to get you started. I have copies of all of them and I found them on Ebay.
best of luck! :) :)
