The theme for our Kid's church is getting focused and I come to visit Kid's church in clown whenever there is a fifth Sunday. The fifth Sunday is a fun time for the kids to be able to have a clown show and play games.

For first service, I started out with a crowd breker, got the kids to clap a dance beat while my assistant Jay Jay Jazzler and I danced to a song I wrote about Getting Focused. I told Jay Jay Jazzler that I didn't feel like getting focused on God and put a blindfold on. Jay Jay said....Well, then through the ball through this hoola hoop. I went to throw it and said "Tada...I knew I could make it on my own"....Kids laughed because the hoola hoop was moved after I was blindfolded. So I had to get out my Glasses, binoculars and magnifying glasses so I could hit the target (represent focued on God's word, prayer and worship). I ended with having the kids point their finger up in the air and spinning the juggling plate, putting it on my finger and then passing the plate to each kid.

During second service, I changed some things (and did some things as in first service) because some kids are in both services. I played up being blindfolded a bit more...fell, run into things etc. I demonstrated one of the games we were having for the Truck or Treat....Ring Toss. Except I flipped the hoola hoop like a coin and to try to ring it around my body. The hoola hoop is the ring and my body is the pole. My assistant kept reminding me to get focused so I could accomplish the trick. I kept missing but each time I missed I got a good laugh. Finally, I accomplished the human ring toss trick with a hoola hoop. Then I balanced the plate on the stick on the tip of my finger...the kids begged for me to raise my hand and get the plate to reach the ceiling...I never tried that before....They started singing Higher, Higher; Higher, Higher, Higher, Higher...Lift Jesus Higher....and I got the plate up to the ceiling to represent focus on God. I ended with some juggling and kept dropping the balls....The kids encouraged me by doing the song "We will we will rock you" and changing the words to "She will, she will juggle those balls." And encouraged them to never give up by sharing about how hard it was for me to learn to juggle and how I didn't quit. After the show, we played games and the kids got tons of candy.
