Hello there! I think this is a good place to start out with, since it is the "Introductions" section and all.

I am Ritz, a mime-in-training, who got into this business thanks to her mother *who is also on this site*.

I...am kinda at a loss, however, because I am no good at face-painting, and the squeaking sound of the balloons when you twist them give me migranes. However, as I said earier, I am practicing miming, as well as slide-of-hand and other magic. I was wondering if any of you had any suggestions for what I should do, and what resources to use.

Hey everyone! This is my daughter Ritz. She is not a traditional mime, but a silent clown. She is practicing with my magic tricks which will become her magic tricks when she masters them (frankly, I'm no good)! She's also been rehearsing a few skits with her friend!

Anyway, Welcome to the forum. As a hint: when you twist balloon; pull them slightly at the twist points. this will eliminate the squeak.

One of my (former) theatre directors is a professionally trained mime...fortunatly, he spoke to us during rehearsals. :D

XDD That's what everyone thought I meant when I chose that name: "You want to be named after a cracker?" XDD Yeah, my inspiration came from a top-hat, and they think it's a cracker.

Though, it could be used for my benefit...*points to pickter of a cracker and then to myself* XDD

And as for the makeup...I will, as soon as my mom and I design it. She did my friend's (Ribbit), and it came out AWESOME. So, at the moment, I guess I just need to wait a bit.

Are you going to consider some type of signature sound?

Ie Harpo had his horn. I've considered looking at some thing to always make a specific sound to go with my charater, for an occasion punuation. some thing to ponder.
