It has come to my attention that my soon-to-be 11 year old cousin would like to make himself a puppet. He's quite good at making things and following directions, but does not like to read, so I'm looking for a well-illustrated book on making puppets that he can follow without a whole lot of adult supervision.
I'm leaning towards The Muppets Make Puppets (http://www.amazon.com/Muppets-Make-Puppets-Create-Operate/dp/1563057085/ref=sr_1_11?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1326489469&sr=1-11), not just because of the Henson brand, but the promise of making puppets out of household materials readily available to children. I'm concerned he might find it a little babyish though. Suggestions from the experts, please?
(He also wants a mustache and a job at McDonald's, apparently.) ;)
