Just wanted to check that all our members from the Midwest are ok after that winter storm. I heard 350,000 people lost power; dangerous in this weather!

Actually, Scruffy, we're not REALLY the MIdwest. We're more the Mid-Northeastern-west. Understand?? So you & I didn't get anything that the real "Midwest" got. We got a few flurrys, and it's so cold here my taffeta crinolin sticks out by itself, but besides that we're fine.

Yes, well, when you live in a 100 year old house that's drafty and has water radiated heat, you tend to run up quite the gas bill in the winter. Sometimes when we're in the kitchen, I just turn on the electric stove and open the door. but with babies around, we don't want them burning their pitty pats. Life is good. Then your gas gets turned off.
