Mike Anonymous 03-30-2004, 08:05 PM Not yet...but I am going the first week in June. It was highly recommended to me, as well as Mooseburger Camp. I made a decision to go to Lacrosse as the dates were better for me. Peanut Anonymous 03-30-2004, 08:05 PM I am not familiar with the camp in Wisconsin, but I have attended Moosecamp, in Minnesota. It is just excellent. I will be repeating it this year. Abby Anonymous 03-30-2004, 08:06 PM I am going to Mooseburger camp next week 7/27/03. Is it as good as it seems on paper? This is my first school and I am pumped. Has anyone been to both Mooseburger and Wisconsin Lacrosse? Which is better?? Sluggo Anonymous 03-30-2004, 08:06 PM To be honest, I haven't been to either camp, but I've heard nothing but GOOD things about Mooseburger Camp. A clown friend of mine attended there a few years ago and she came back with so much to share at our group! Even just sending one person from your alley or group is almost as good as everyone going -- because that person comes back with all the knowledge to share with your whole alley. One thing I heard from somebody was that even though a lot of camps can teach you a ton of great stuff, Mooseburger Camp is the ONLY one that actually gives you the opportunity to perform. You get to go to a nursing home, county fair, and then there is a huge show called "the all star clown show" where all the campers get to perform! And that really makes a difference, I would think. You can go to all the classes you want, but to get the performance confidence to go out there and do a heart-felt job of clowning is something completely different. sincerely, Flannel Glasses Anonymous 03-30-2004, 08:07 PM I have been to Clown Camp - offered by the Univeraity of Wisconsin, LaCrosse - and it was a fabulous experience. The teaching staff of clowns are the best from all over the world - Some are even in the Clown Hall of Fame. It is one week of brain and sometimes body overload - learning and practicing new things - watching the teaching staff perform and if you are brave practicing before a live audience of your peers on "open mike night" - but it is well worth it.
