I was driving to a clown job out of town and was a block away from the job when my vehicle was hit. There I am in full clown makeup and costume in the middle of an intersection. Traffic was backed up in both directions. I think my truck is totaled. I walked away uninjured thank goodness. I missed the gig but was able to make my later party I had in town. Has anyone had a day like this? Sorry just had to vent.

I'm very glad to know you're OK! Whew!

Terrible but luckely it's just the car that is broken and not you. Had something quiet similar about a year ago just 100 jards away from my gig someone hit me from the back. Police and the whole circus you know. Started an hour later and found it very hard to be the clown that day. Finally I had to go back by train with all my gear.
Yep these are those days you prefered to have stayed in bed.

Thank goodness you're alright, but atleast you have a story to tell.

Hope every thing is O K with you. One thing I put in a contract is an "Act Of God" or uncontrolable clause to help cover myself. I feel this is a little protection against unforseeable incidents such as this. I also state the EVENT should be covered under the same circumstances. Really hope everything is O K.

Thank you for all the support. My truck has just been declared a loss. I have been out shopping and found a nice deal on another truck. I am thankful to be in one piece. I will be clowning again this weekend. Thanks again everyone!

One time there was three of us on the way to a gig in full makeup when the car died. We were trying to push it off the road when some guys slowed down. We thought they were going to help us.

The one of them leaned out the window and said "Hey, you know why cannibals don't eat clowns?...."

We ignored him and kept pushing as they drove away laughing.
