2 years ago I was asked to be in a parade, in a town where my wife was with
relatives for a couple of weeks. She called me about it & I brought my costume and when I got there I realized I forgot my walk-around. Went to one of those dollar stores looking for an idea. They had a 6" plastic CLOWN FISH! ($1.59) - PERFECT !! Went to a hardware store & got a dowel rod (.94 cents). My wife had a cheep craft brush (no cost), a cork from a wine bottle (no cost, not telling what happened to the wine) a 3 ft. length of mason line (supplied by the relative) and drilled a hole thru the fishes mouth & the end of the dowel, & thru the cork for the paint brush. Went on the computer and large typed a 2 sided sign "CLOWN FISH" & stapled it to the line. Got a lot of laughs about catching "NEMO" from the crowd...

But what was with the paint brush part? I get the "Nemo" reference.

I think he just used it to attach he signs to.

I miss Chuckles. Last I knew he had retired from clowning and was fighting parkinsons diesease. His Dad was a resident in the Nursing home I used to work at.
