Just a suggestion ;)

I've experimented with them on my own website and not had much success. To make it work you need to have hundreds of regular visitors a day before a chat area will take off. Good idea though.

Awesome idea PPP!

There's quite a few people in here right now, more than I think I've ever seen before.

I know I would be a regular when I'm not clownin'...

Yes Bips, but I don't think there is enough of us yet for several of us to be online simultaniously on a regular basis. That is what is required for a successful chat area. It's certainly worth a try though.

From past experience this is not a good idea, UNLESS:.....

How would yall feel if I set up an integrated chatroom and I posted a chat time that suited everyone (I could do a poll for this) . That way, everyone could be there at the same time for an hour or two.

I wont bother if theres not much interest as I am working my a$$ off to get other features working flawlessly.

But, we need to be more linked in the subjects and knowing each other... If we have more members, maybe it could be a good idea... But, I think isn't good at the moment...

But I hope in the future...

Well, What I was thinking was a set schedule/timetable for the chat and maybe an initial starting topic to get everyone going.

We could send out a mail to the various newsgroups and get a few more people there too.
It would not be easy to coordinate such a thing.

Im going to have to put up a poll for a few weeks to get everyone who is interested to vote first where they are physically located (Timezone) then a specific time when everyone is free.

If anyone has any ideas regarding this, I'd love to hear them.
