Jobee 10-06-2004, 05:24 PM No sweat works for a couple of hours but then sweat starts to trickle towards the end. Now I'm a profuse sweater so I might just break the chemical down. I've thought about it for some of my athletes. Jubilee 10-11-2004, 10:22 AM I don't think anything is fool-proof to keep you from sweating, but I use Proface setting powder and that helps. I haven't used no sweat yet because I don't feel the need. I do know several others who use it and swear by it. Jubilee Scruffy 10-11-2004, 11:12 AM My problem is my Nose! Sweat runs off my face and around my rubber nose and then It feels loose. Next thing I know, it feel loose. I m Hoping that it will help keep my nose on better. It's pretty bad when medical adhesive, doest't help. It holds tighter but not like it should. What it boils down to is either find something to keep it on or switch to a proknowse. they are great but don't look as agood with my face. My nose has looks a lot like an old fashioned putty nose. It's also a dull red. Not the fire engine red that the proknows. To me it looks right. Jamz 10-11-2004, 09:57 PM Ifound the pronose the best but like Scruffy the shiny red didnt go with my tramp Another tramp Iknow told me to rub it with alcolhol and it dulls it or paint it with red llatex paint both work or you can go with a flesh color nose Jobee 10-11-2004, 10:51 PM Hey I'll try and find a heavy duty anti-perspirent in my OTHER profession for you. What type of nose do you use? Proknows? Woochee? Scruffy 10-12-2004, 05:24 AM The Nose I use was produced by Don Post studios about 20 years ago. It is molded in rubber and looks a lot like the putty noses that nearly all clowns used a century ago. Because of the molded nostrils, I doesn't restrict your breathing and it doesn't clamp on around your nostrils. If I had a digital camera, I would take a shot of it. I like the Proknows products. Booster, My wife, has one. If I do create another character at sometine I've got the nose picked out allready. It's the TXL. But for Scruffy, I can't find one that I like better thatn my Don Post. BIPS 10-12-2004, 09:07 AM The brand of nose I got from Mooseburger when I went to their camp on the road is Schnatlocher, or something like that (bad misspelling). I used to use the dimestore stuff at the hobby stores for my first face, but I've since switched to Mehron, and I absolutely love it! During my venture this year at the 4th of July parade I lost my nose several times, in fact I even worked up a little patter with it! Afterwards I was sitting with the other local clowns, and one of the girls, Cookie I think, said to do a double application of the nose glue. I think it's the same brand as the nose. While I'm getting ready, I apply a moderate amount directly to the base of my nose, and then a small amount to the inside of my nose, and allow it to dry. When both layers are dry, they tend to stick directly to each other, avoiding the sweat/skin issue altogether. I'm also a profuse sweater, and this seems to have solved the problem. Hope that helps! Jubilee 10-12-2004, 09:57 AM Hey, Scruffy. Do you use spirit gum for adhesive? I've been told that stuff is the best. I paint my nose on because if I have a rubber nose, it make my "real" nose run like crazy! Jubilee Scruffy 10-12-2004, 10:11 AM Skin bond medical advesive. It's the strongest adhesive they make. Spirit gum has never worked on my Schnoz.... |
