Hello everyone,
I just had to share this story with everyone. As a newbie and the area I am in I have to use the internet for supplies. With help from the forum I was able to choose T Myers as my supplier. Now I have my first little outing on this Monday, so I needed my stuff pretty quick. So I used three day delivery from UPS, so it should have been here yesterday. I have been checking the tracking of the package and all was well till 3:45pm when it was rescheduled for today and the discription was this "THE PACKAGE WAS DAMAGED IN TRANSIT. UPS WILL NOTIFY THE SENDER WITH THE DETAILS;DAMAGED MERCHANDISE DISCARDED, BALANCE BEING RETURNED. UPS WILL NOTIFY THE SENDER WITH THE DETAILS"

Oh my, this stuck me as funny! And you want to know why. Well the poor UPS driver who finds this box in the back of his truck has exploded and it is full of clown stuff. Make-up, balloons, magic wands, 17mm balls for putting inside of ballons, and squeakers.

So I have contacted T Myers so we can try and get the situation fixed and me in paint by monday.

Any other funny stuff happened to you?

Ok I know in todays world of terrorisim (spelling?) It was not funny to the poor driver who found this leaking box in the back of his truck. But with my humor I find it funny as I envision it as they pull the truck to the side of the road, block all traffic around it, send in the bomb squad and they open this box up and find balloons, balls, wands and clown make-up.

I'm a little touched in my humor, but I find my outlook on life is my own. I try to find laughter in everything.

Uh no......well it is a good thing we are an ocean apart. Put us togeather and the world would not know what hit it.

But I am glad that there are more like me and my warped sense out there.
Keep laughing Gilbert.

sound similar to goodwill. There policy is not to sell broken merchandise. I wanted an old tripod to make a clown camera out of (Still on the list, haven't been inspired lately) . They had a tripod inthere for a dollar. GREAT! I took it to the counter and the clerk said I'm sorry I can't sell it to you because it is broken. I said I know, I still want it, any way to maka a long story short, She wouldn't sell it to me and had to get the manager involved! Sheesh. It was the stuff skits are made of...

My main job is working in retail and unfortunately some people insist on purcasing damaged goods at a reduced rate and then come back in a few days later in an attempt to get an undamaged replacement! It is scams like that which cause the problem.

Oh dear. It's interesting the things that we find funny, isn't it? Guess that's what makes us good clowns. The ability to see something that other people would get worried or frustrated about and laugh.
