Several years ago, when I first started clowning...I purchased a black box. It has a hole with a door on top and one on the front. There is a mirror on the inside. I used it for years. Since then, we have moved and my brain has forgotten how to use the box......Can anyone help me??????:???:

The trick is to let the audience belief there is only one hole. You put something in the hole where the mirror isn't turned towards. You do some magical turning and twisting with the box and open the other hole. Wow that something is gone. Because of the mirror the hole box looks completely empty.Of course it also works the other way around. The box is empty, turning and twisting and magicly the candys are coming out.

A good description OkiDoki. That is called a "production box." Most magic websites sell one form or another and you might catch a video clip one one.

Thank you, OkiDoki and Fitzwilly. I found a site with a video. Now I just must decide how I will use my production box and then get to practice.:applause:

Hi Mindy,
We have production boxes like that in our store sometimes. Typically what a magician will do is open both doors, put both hands inside the box, one through the front door, and one through the top door (that way if the audience sees a reflection they think it's the hand going through the top) to show that the box is empty. The they close both doors, make a magic gesture over the box, open the top door and produce something out of the box. Or they put something in and then show it empty.
